# sNOTE

Notional's governance can force sell 50% of staked NOTE tokens to cover shortfalls due to the creation of bad debts. Selling [sNOTE](https://etherscan.io/address/0x38de42f4ba8a35056b33a746a6b45be9b1c3b9d2) can be used in conjonction with using treasury funds to cover a shortfall or can be used as an independent measure. 

Funds in the NOTE staking module are 80% held in NOTE and 20% in WETH.
